We’ve been making deodorants that work since 2010.

Nothing met our standards, so we set a new one.

Jaime Schmidt started making natural products in her kitchen back in 2010. Pregnant at the time, she was searching for a deodorant that not only smelled great, but actually worked. Put simply, there wasn’t anything on the market that met her expectations, so she made her own.

Thousands of hours of research and hundreds of recipes later, Jaime arrived at her ideal deodorant formula. After taking her formulas to the local farmers market as proof of concept, Schmidt’s spread quickly. So much so that in 2018, GQ Magazine announced that when it comes to deodorant, ​“Schmidt’s changed everything.”

Natural, not natural-ish.

We are certified natural by leading global certifier Ecocert. Why does this matter?

Believe it or not, there is no regulatory definition for the word ​“natural” when it comes to cosmetic products like deodorants. As a result, it can be very difficult to identify products that are actually made from natural ingredients vs those simply making ​“free from” claims… especially when you are quickly scanning the shelves and just need something that works. In recent years, we’ve seen a lot of confusion between truly natural deodorants and those that just don’t use aluminum, for example. We get it… it’s hard to know who to trust, and very few people have as much time as we do to fact-check how natural your various deodorant options actually are.

That’s exactly why we made the decision to partner with Ecocert: to give you the peace of mind that you’re buying a product that meets your values (for us, that’s 100% natural origin ingredients, cruelty-free, vegan, non-GMO, sustainable manufacturing practices, recyclable packaging, and more).
